Plumbing Part 2

Hello, it has been a while. Sorry for the delay, but as not much has been happening no need to bore you with me watching nothing happen...

So, the plumber didn't come which is fine, that means we get to do it. All the previous pipe has been removed there was quite an assortment fro copper to brass to pvc. Of course some of them weren't actually attached to anything and were holding onto some seriously disgusting water. Few were attached/strapped to the house so were quite saggy. We cut them out and disposed of them properly.

To replace we had seriously thought about using the pex tubing as it is pretty easy to install, can withstand freezing better, reduces plumbing noise and can be easily attached to a manifold which increases water efficiency. However, upon consultation and reflection we decided since going at this alone we would use materials we were more familiar with... so pvc it is which is still fairly efficient.

We have begun the re-plumbing. We started at the main line and brought the line in the house before it gets "t'd". We are currently running the cold water lines and will then run the hot water lines. We did decide to get a tankless hot water heater. Though definitely more efficient when you have gas, the electric variety does save a significant amount of energy about 30-40% over the tanked kind. I'll address that installation in plumbing part 3.

So, the pictures include one of Matt (under the house) through the cement block (from the outside of the house.
Another photo is of Matt running the cold water line under the office. You can see the black tube above his head that is the insulation around the pvc tube. Also note the straps holding it up which are evenly spaced to reduced sagging.
Lastly, Matt running some line in the Kitchen obviously made easier with no floor...*sigh*
